CoreELEC, as an entertainment-grade all-in-one player, can still meet the needs of most people. The dual-system development goal is to meet the main needs of local video playback and online video playback, while also considering functions such as gaming, bypass routing, and downloader (implemented through Docker or Kodi plugins).
I. Flashing Instructions
The new version does not include data packages (CE plugins, low-key Android software), only contains independent Android and CE systems. When flashing on the old dual-system version of 3.9.9.x, you can choose not to erase the flash to save the existing data. For other versions below 3.9.9.1 (or system flashing), it is recommended to select erase flash, do not keep the data, and start CE from scratch, similar to installing CE independently. CE needs to set a password and language for the first startup. If you are not familiar with CE, you need to learn how to use CE first (basically the same as Kodi), and there is a learning curve for using CE.
If you are using version 3991 or later, you can flash without erasing the flash. It is recommended to erase the flash when flashing on older versions, otherwise there will be an upgrade process when entering CE for the first time, which will take longer to start, and the old version plugins will require a long time for conversion.
Because there is no data package, the flashing package is about 1.26G, compressed to about 5xxM, and it is not easy to report errors during flashing.
After flashing with erasing the flash, the remaining space is the same as flashing Android separately. The flashing time is about 3 minutes.
After flashing, Android starts by default. Just like the old dual-system version, use the restart software to enter CE, the method is the same as the old version.
II. Software Instructions
CoreELEC
CoreELEC upgraded to version 20.5
CoreELEC has built-in Chinese and can be switched directly in the skin settings. When using other skins, set the font to Arial before switching skins to avoid garbled characters.
The new version supports expansion of N1
Built-in PVR software
CE cache is enabled by default, and all Internet file systems are supported by default
Supports mobile Bluetooth remote control by default, less than 10 yuan on pdd, the confirm key is effective, some key positions have been adjusted, you can try it yourself.
CE will perform initialization settings for the first startup, and some functions need to be restarted to enable, such as SSH service
CE can play Aliyun disk content online through Docker+Alist (open driver) mode, and can also support Xiaoya Alist (the default script needs to be modified)
To restore the original startup screen of CE: delete /system/oemsplash.png under Android ES
CE no longer retains the function of synchronizing MAC addresses between CE and Android. If necessary in the future, it can be implemented through patching
If Docker cannot be downloaded online, you can install the offline zip package
Android
Fixed startup bug, shut down CE by default under shutdown, and start Android by default under Android
Also fixed the problem that some friends cannot start CE under Android. When starting CE for the first time, you need to grant root permissions
The default desktop uses ATV, which has been localized, compact and concise. If necessary, you can install it according to your own preferences. The system itself has no restrictions
This version of Android still retains screen casting, deletes screen rotation and Ant Market, and adds a fast version of the Dangbei Market
Method to delete built-in Android applications:
After ES is authorized as root, go to /system to delete the corresponding app and restart. When granting read and write permissions, you need to select with a mouse
To remote boot, you can use a smart socket to achieve it
